Why is speculation about who gave Tiger Woods a blow job so much more interesting than pondering the imminent collapse of our fragile social and political institutions. Is it because we are a nation of morons? I suspect not. The huge spike in audience attention garnered by every celebrity chastity malfunction — is effectively a  Rorschach Test pointing out how deeply troubled we are about sexuality.

For those of us that require it, living without the frequent exchanges of sexual energy, is like living without oxygen.

While we are all totally fucked in every figurative sense of the word, we are for the most part, insufficiently fucked in the literal sense.

What flaw in our thinking led us to this sorry state of affairs — that this most fundamental of human pleasures is off limits for most of us, most of the time?
